Our patients who choose facial surgery often do so for one of the following reasons:
-
To diminish signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, or sagging skin;
-
To correct deformities due to a birth defect or injury; or
-
For reconstructive purposes following a debilitating disease, such as cancer.

To ensure you are a good candidate for facial surgery, Dr. English will have you complete a health questionnaire and ask you about any medications you are taking. Depending on your answers, he may also recommend pre-operative bloodwork, particularly for more invasive procedures that require anesthesia. Prior to surgery, he may also recommend you:
-
Stop smoking;
-
Refrain from taking medications that thin the blood, including aspirin; and/or
-
Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds.
