WHAT IS BREAST RECONSTRUCTION?
Breast reconstruction is a procedure in which all or part of the breast(s) are rebuilt following their removal due to cancer or another serious condition. This is a highly customized procedure; during your consultation, Dr. English will examine your breasts and determine the surgical plan that is best for you. He may also order X-rays or a mammogram to guide him in developing this surgical plan.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR BREAST RECONSTRUCTION?
You may be a good candidate for breast reconstruction if you:

Have had all or part of one breast removed and feel lopsided as a result.

Are self-conscious about your flat chest and would like to regain your old figure.

Have fully completed cancer treatment, and have been told by your primary care physician that your disease is in remission.
